How to book an Appointment?

This practice has an appointment system to see a doctor or a nurse.

If you need to cancel your appointment, please inform us in advance so that allows us to use that appointment for another patient.

How to make an appointment

Please call our main switchboard number on 020 8422 1813 to book an appointment with a doctor or a nurse.  Urgent cases are usually seen on the same day.  If your condition is non-urgent, you can expect to see a GP within two working days, though you may have to wait longer if you want to see a particular GP.  If you do not need an appointment within two working days, you also have the option to book up to 7 working days in advance if this is more convenient for you.  Nurses based in our practice treat patients for a wide range of common conditions.  You can expect to see a nurse within one to two working days.  All of our nurses are qualified.  You can book up to a week ahead for clinics – please see the ‘Clinics & Services’ section.

You can also book your appointments online – If you would like to book your appointments online, please come to the surgery along with your original photo ID (we recommend a valid Passport OR a Driving Licence) and ask receptionist to provide you with an authorisation letter (PIN Document).  Once you get the letter, you can register yourself with our online services.  After that you will be able to book appointment and request repeat prescription online.

Routine appointments

If you need to book a routine follow-up appointment with a particular GP, you can make an appointment up to four weeks in advance.  Please phone after 10:30 am to avoid busy hours.
Many routine appointments are for patients who have a long-term or chronic condition that needs monitoring on a regular basis.  We will let you know when your next appointment is due with the practice nurse or doctor  by text message, post or telephone.  If this time is not convenient, please telephone reception to re-arrange it.

It is important to continue your regular check-ups, even if you are feeling well.  Routine appointments are available during normal surgery hours with the practice nurse and/or doctor.

Same day appointments

We are a busy practice, and providing some same day appointments makes it easier for you to see a doctor quickly.

Most of our GP appointments are same day appointments.  You can phone at 8:45 am for same day appointments only, but this works on the first comes first served bases as we receive the higher number of the calls in the morning when the phone line opens, so please be patient with the reception staff.

Please do not ask receptionist to call you back if there is a cancellation, as we do not offer this and it is strictly first come first served bases.

Why might it be difficult to get an appointment?

The surgery is particularly busy on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. If your appointment is not urgent, try to book on a less busy day after 10:30 am.

If you let us know as soon as possible you can’t attend your appointment, we can then make it available for another patient.

If we can’t offer you an immediate appointment, you can call either between 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm or between 3:30 pm – 4:00 pm Monday to Friday apart from Thursday (only between 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm), for telephone consultation with a doctor if you wish.
